A Little More About Me
“I was born and raised in Venice, California, the youngest of four children. I’ve now been married for over 30 years, and we have four adult children and two grandchildren. We moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2018 and I love it here.
My first experience with counseling was as a client to work through relationship issues and childhood trauma. I know what it’s like to sit on a counselor’s couch and experience vulnerability, healing, and growth. I am passionate about returning the favor and helping others.
In addition to a private counseling practice, I have been a professor of psychology , training students in psychology and counseling
In my spare time, I enjoy date nights (usually involving food or art films) and travel adventures with my husband, playing games and laughing with my family or a small group of friends, hosting parties, taking walks in nature, and my flower garden.” - Valinda Harlan (she/her)
